These terms apply whenever you use Vennado. By starting a plan, joining one or using any other part of the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Vennado.
The short version
- Vennado is a free planner. It finds when a group is free and suggests things to do. It does not sell you anything.
- Rota reading can be wrong. You must check what it read before you rely on it.
- A plan's link is its key. Anyone who has the link can see the busy times in the plan and join it.
- When you book something, your contract is with the seller, at the seller's price.
- Guide prices are estimates, not offers.
- Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Vennado is operated by Sycamore Healthworks Ltd, company number SC886987, registered at 2/3, 48 Clyde Offices, West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BP. You can contact us at contact@sycamorehealthworks.com.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "Vennado" means the website at vennado.com and the planner on it.
2. What Vennado is
Vennado is a web planner for groups of friends and families. Each person adds a calendar, a rota or their busy days. Vennado works out when the whole group is free, shows the near misses where everyone but one person is free, and suggests things to do in a chosen window that fit the hours, the size of the group and a budget a head. The group can shortlist ideas, vote, lock one in and add it to their own calendars.
Vennado does not have accounts, take payments, make bookings, buy tickets, list live events or sync with your calendar. How Vennado works describes each feature and its limits, and you can start a plan without signing up for anything.
3. It is free
There is no charge for using Vennado and no paid version. Today every link to a seller is an ordinary link that earns us nothing. When a link is paid, it will be labelled "Paid link" where it appears, and the seller will pay us a commission if you book after following it. We never add a fee. How we make money explains this.
4. Who can use it
Vennado is for adults aged 18 or over, for personal use. It is designed for people in the United Kingdom. Please do not use it to run a business, such as planning staff rotas, or on behalf of an employer.
5. Plans and their links
- The link is the key. A shared plan is reached by a link that contains an id which cannot be guessed. There is no password. Anyone who has the link can open the plan, see each member's display name and busy times, add themselves, shortlist ideas and vote.
- You decide who gets the link. Send it only to the people you want in the plan. If a link reaches someone it should not have, the person who created the plan can remove people from it or delete it.
- The organiser link is private. The person who creates a shared plan is also given an organiser link. It is what lets them remove people or delete the plan from any browser, so keep it to yourself and do not send it to the group. Without it, the plan can be deleted only from the browser it was started in, or by asking us.
- Your entry is tied to your browser. The browser you used to add yourself is what lets you edit your entry later. If you clear your browser's storage or change device, you may need to add yourself again, or ask the organiser or us to remove the old entry.
- Plans are temporary. A shared plan is deleted automatically 90 days after it was last changed, and its creator can delete it at any time from the browser they started it in or with the organiser link. Deleted plans cannot be recovered. Once you have locked a plan in, add it to your own calendar.
- A plan holds up to 30 people.
What we store, and for how long, is set out in the privacy notice.
6. Rota reading can be wrong, and you must check it
When you give Vennado a rota, it is read automatically to pick out your shifts. This saves typing. It is not always right. It can miss a shift, misread a date or a time, pick the wrong person's row or guess wrongly at a code.
So Vennado shows you every shift it read before any of them count, and asks you to confirm. You are responsible for checking that list against your rota and correcting it. The same goes for anything read from a calendar.
Vennado is not your record of when you are working. Your employer's rota is. Vennado does not update itself when your rota changes. Do not use it to work out when you are due at work.
7. Ideas, guide prices and sellers
- We are not the seller. Vennado does not sell tickets, tables, tee times, rooms, travel or anything else. Ideas link out to other companies' websites.
- Your booking is a contract between you and the seller. The seller's terms, prices, refund rules and privacy terms apply to it. If something goes wrong with a booking, your claim is against the seller, and you may also have rights through your card provider.
- Guide prices are estimates. They are our own rough figures a head for a typical UK city, to show what a budget might cover. They are not offers, quotes or live prices. The price you pay is whatever the seller charges on the day you book.
- Ideas are suggestions. An idea is a kind of outing. We do not list particular events, and we do not check that anything is available, open or suitable for your group on your date. Check with the seller before the group relies on it.
- Links are not endorsements. A link to a company does not mean we have an arrangement with it or recommend it over others. We are not responsible for other companies' websites.
8. Using Vennado fairly
Please do not:
- use Vennado for anything unlawful;
- add another person's name or busy times to a plan without their knowledge;
- upload a document you have no right to share. If your employer restricts where its rota may be sent, follow your employer's rules. You can crop a rota to your own row, or tap your shifts in by hand;
- enter children's names, or sensitive information about anyone;
- try to open plans you were not sent, guess plan links, or get round the protections on other people's entries;
- upload anything other than calendars and rotas to the readers, or anything harmful such as malware;
- overload the service, scrape it or use automated tools on it;
- copy the site or its content for commercial use.
Rota reading has a daily allowance. We also limit how fast requests can be made, and how many shared plans and calendar link fetches one internet connection can make in a day. If someone breaks these rules we may limit their use of Vennado or remove a plan.
9. What you put in
What you add to a plan remains yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the other people who have the plan's link, so that the plan can work. We do not use it for anything else. The privacy notice has the detail.
10. No promise of perfection
We will take reasonable care in running Vennado. Beyond that, it is provided as it is. It is free, and we do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of mistakes, or that it will keep any feature it has today. We may change it, limit it, or withdraw it. If we plan to close Vennado altogether, we will say so on the site in advance where we reasonably can.
Because plans are temporary and the service may change, do not use Vennado as the only place you keep anything that matters.
11. Our responsibility to you
What we do not exclude. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer. For example, if digital content we supply damages your device or your other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, the law may entitle you to a repair or to compensation.
What we are responsible for. If we break these terms or fail to take reasonable care, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if both you and we knew it might happen when you started using Vennado.
What we are not responsible for.
- Loss that was not foreseeable.
- Loss that arises because a list of shifts or busy times was confirmed without being checked, or because information that you or someone else put into a plan was wrong or out of date.
- Anything done or not done by a seller, including prices, availability, cancellations and the quality of what you booked.
- Business losses. Vennado is for personal use, so we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
- Events outside our reasonable control.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Vennado at any time. Remove yourself from a plan, or delete a plan you created, and clear this site's storage in your browser. If you can no longer do that from your browser, email us and we will do it for you.
We may stop someone using Vennado, or remove a plan, if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law or in how Vennado works. When we do, we will update this page and the date at the top. We do not hold email addresses, so we cannot write to you. For a change that makes a real difference to your rights, we will put a notice on the site before it takes effect. If you carry on using Vennado after a change, the new terms apply.
14. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live: England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
If you want to take court proceedings about these terms or about Vennado, you may do so in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. If you live in a different part of the UK from the one where we are registered, you can choose to bring proceedings in the courts there instead.
If you live outside the UK, these terms are governed by the law of the part of the UK where we are registered. You keep any protection that the law of your own country says cannot be taken away by agreement.
15. Other points
- If a court finds part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still apply.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still do so later.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if Vennado changes hands. Your rights under these terms and under the privacy notice will not be reduced by that.
16. Questions and complaints
Email contact@sycamorehealthworks.com. We would rather hear about a problem and fix it than not hear about it. Complaints about how we handle personal information are covered in the privacy notice.
